What is Candidiasis?
Candida is a kind of yeast which naturally exists in our intestines, mouth, vagina and other organs which means everyone has some Candida yeast in and on their body. However, it is only when too much of it grows that it results in candidiasis, or commonly known as thrush. Up to 3 out of 4 adult women will experience a candidiasis called a yeast infection at least once during their lifetimes and many women suffer from it at least two episodes.
What are the symptoms of yeast infection in women?
Candida overgrowth in genital area is called vaginal candidiasis and causes intense itchy vaginal area, redness and swelling of the genital area, soreness and burning when you pee, painful intercourse, vaginal dryness and a thick cottage cheese like discharge.
You don’t need to keep it as a secret.
We tend to keep this disease as a secret since it is about the very private part of our body and only aim to suppress the symptoms. It will however come back again and again or take ages to get better if you do not seek for proper help and just try to mask the symptoms.
Let’s talk about it.
Eastern Medicine in most of the cases see this condition as the accumulation of heat toxins and dampness inside of our body and the problem is not only about the part of the body which shows the uncomfortable symptoms, but the imbalance inside our body that consequently brought on the symptoms. That is why patients normally have a handful of other uncomfortable conditions if they come to seek for a treatment for vaginal infection. Our patients usually feel general improvement of their body conditions as well as their candidiasis because of the way Oriental medicine and your body works.
We will talk about the evidence of the effectiveness of Oriental Medicine and diet and lifestyle management in the following post so go check it out by clicking below!
